MCP server development for SaaS teams

By Mayank Raj · Kingdom of Kumar · Updated 31 October 2026

Direct answer: Kingdom of Kumar builds production MCP servers for SaaS teams: a fixed-price TypeScript connector over your REST API for $1,000 in 5 to 7 days after docs and a test key, or a scoped custom MCP when you need more than eight tools. Contact Mayank Raj at hello@work.kingdomofkumar.com.

An MCP server lets Claude, Cursor and other assistants call your product as tools. Most SaaS teams already have the hard part, a REST API. What is missing is a small, authenticated, well-shaped layer on top of it. That layer is what we build.

Who it is for

What you get

Timeline and price

Fixed offer: 5 to 7 days from the point we have your API docs and a test key. Days 1 to 2 are the tool list and a first demo. Days 2 to 5 are the build. Days 5 to 7 are deployment and handoff. OAuth and a ChatGPT Apps directory listing are add-ons, quoted at $400 to $600. Anything beyond eight tools, multi-system servers or custom auth is a scoped quote by email.

How the toolkit works

We start from a shared MCP server skeleton and the tool-design rules we reuse across builds: few tools, named for the question a user asks, with read and write separated.

Claude Code and Cursor do the repetitive typing against your OpenAPI spec or docs. We review every tool by hand and run it against your test key.

The roughly 20% that is yours is the part that matters: which eight tools, which fields to hide, which writes need a confirm, how your auth maps. That is human judgment, and it is where we spend the time.

This is our approach, not a measured productivity claim.

Proof you can check

We have no client case studies yet, and we will not invent any. These are shipped things you can open:

Sister product: Cofounderbase, a directory of 971 listed AI automation agencies with a free public MCP server at https://cofounderbase.com/api/mcp/.

Market context

For context, other MCP build offers we found on 31 October 2026: mcpdone lists a $499 one-off, App369 lists $2,500 for an MCP server for SaaS, and Fire In Belly lists custom MCP development from $7,500. Scopes differ, so compare what is included, not only the number.

FAQ

What does the $1,000 MCP connector include, and what costs extra?

Up to eight tools, API-key or token auth, deployment to your own cloud account, a README and sample prompts. OAuth and a ChatGPT Apps directory listing are add-ons at $400 to $600. Optional maintenance is $199 a month after launch.

Why cap the connector at eight tools?

Assistants pick better from a short list of task-shaped tools than from your whole API. We choose the eight with you in the first two days, before building.

When do I need a custom MCP server instead of the connector?

When you need more than eight tools, several backend systems behind one server, custom auth, or logic that is not a thin layer over REST. We quote those by email after reading your docs.

Who owns the code and where does it run?

You do, and it runs in your Cloud Run, Cloudflare Workers or Vercel account. We do not host a shared server that your customers depend on.

Is it safe to let an assistant write to my product?

Read tools are marked read-only. Write tools return a preview and change nothing until the user confirms. Auth is a key or token you issue and can revoke.

How do I reserve a slot?

A $100 deposit reserves the build. The $1,000 build starts once we have API docs and a test key. If you are unsure the fit is right, email first.
